What is NIOS?
NIOS is a board of India. It is open education system in India.
It was established in 1989 by the ministry of human resource development
as an autonomous organization. It is focused to those people who
want to study but doesn’t want to attain the school/college.

What are the eligibility
criteria for NIOS courses?
a) For secondary level
- Students should have passed 8 class two
years ago.
- Students have to be more than 14 years
b) For senior secondary level
- Students should have passed SLC or equivalent
class two years ago.
- Students have to be more than 15 years
What are the pass criteria?
The students have to obtain 33 marks in each subject including both
practical and theoretical can pass the exam
What is about recognition
of course?
This course is recognized around the world. Along with all board
in Nepal
How many subjects have to attain the exam?
The students have to pass the five subjects but they can attain
7 subjects to pass five subjects. Students can choose two language
and other five subjects. At least one language should be passed.
Where the examination held?
The examination held in Indian Embassy, Kathmandu Nepal.
When the examination
held?
The examination held twice in a year in Kathmandu. The sessions
are April-may and oct.-nov date fixed by NIOS.
What are the facilities
for the exam?
The students willing to pass the exam may give exam partially twice
in a year. All exam preparation documents are provided by NIOS to
the students. The can get online study materials, course guidance,
module question etc.
Is the course is transferable?
Yes the course is transferable to CBSE, ICSE etc.
How to study?
You can study this program in your home or only in KANTIPUR INTERNATIONAL
OPERN EDUCATION.
Changing the subjects is possible?
Yes, the subjects can be changeable
What is the study medium?
The study medium is Hindi, English, but it may be possible to study
in Nepali medium as well
From where students can gets admission and study materials?
Students can get the admission and study materials from KIOE through
AI that process is done by us.
What should examinee do to perform better?
The students have to attain the class in KIOE to perform better.

What any subjects is compulsion?
No, there are not any compulsion subjects. Students can choose any
five subjects among below listed subjects. They have to select at
least one and maximum two from group 'A' and at least four and maximum
six from ‘B’ group.

What is the cost for the course?
The courses fees are as follows:
a) For secondary level:
- NIOS registration fees: 5000
- Admission fees: 6000
Tuition fees: 1200 per month
b) Senior secondary level;
- NIOS registration fees: 10000
- Admission fees: 7000
Tuition fees: 1500 per month
